Wanting to enhance-amass my Islamic, worldly knowledge and cultivate abilities of wisdom, I turned to books. I find reading books much more enjoyable than reading them off my screen, more healthy too even if it is less advanced.
My family used to have amplitude of aged books. Which I prefer to new ones sometimes for reasons of pure knowledge that new books, simply, do not have. A lot of these books either got lost through time or got sold, which is almost the same as lost but still, there are some thank God in our library.
While following my thirst for wisdom and knowledge I stumbled upon an accomplished book dating the writing from somewhere around 1934( I’m not sure and too lazy to go see it). It was “The Holy Qur’an Translated, Author Abdullah Yusuf Ali, New revised Edition”. What more could I ask for? Old and Islamic. Perfect. The really nice thing was that it was translated to English, which is the only language I like reading in.
After reading the long prologue and author’s note (most of it at least) the book had a weird section which I never found in any other. It was after the Contents and prologue but before the actual Quranic Translation. It didnt even have a title.
Looking at it, you would perceive that it was poetry, and guess what. It was.
My interest and curiosity relentlessly pulling me, I started reading.
The next day I logged on the internet and started searching for parts of it but I only found one site that had/has any, but the site wasn’t opening with me. Learning this and being backed up with wanting to keep the peotry in the hands of others and the book being a bit old plus Islamic, I decided that publishing it on the net was not plagiarism, but totally the opposite. Other than the fact that American laws do not limit my actions and Syrian and Islamic ones give me freedom.
This is what I am going to start my Internet-Islamic Revolution with. Superior Islamic poetry.
I just hope that you will like it as much as me or even more, and have the capacity to understand it.
I will only post 2 parts for now and update it regularly. Please comment any criticism and opinions.
SUPERIOR ISLAMIC POETRY Part uno and dos
C.1 Glory to Allah Most High, full Grace and Mercy;
He Created All, including Man.
To Man He gave a special place in His Creation
He honored man to be His Agent,
And to that end, endued him with understanding.
Purified his affections, and gave him spiritual insight;
So that man should understand Nature,
And know Allah through His wondrous signs,
And glorify Him in Truth, reverence, and unity.
C.2 For the fulfillment of this great trust
Man was further given a Will,
So that his act should reflect Allah’s universal Will and Law,
And his mind, freely choosing,
Should experience the sublime joy
Of being in Harmony with the infinite,
And with the great drama of the world around him,
And with his own spiritual growth
